Fix ERROR_SERVICE_DISABLED

How Do I Fix ERROR_SERVICE_DISABLED in Windows?

If you see ERROR_SERVICE_DISABLED, it usually means that a Windows service needed by an app or feature has been disabled. You can check the service settings and enable the required service by following these simple steps.

Step 1: Open Windows Services

Press Windows + R on your keyboard. Type services.msc in the Run box and press Enter. This will open the Windows Services window.

Step 2: Find the Required Service

Look through the list of services and find the service connected to the program or Windows feature showing the error.

Step 3: Open Service Properties

Right-click the service and select Properties. A new window will appear with information about the service.

Step 4: Check the Startup Type

Look for Startup type. If the service is set to Disabled, change it to Manual or Automatic, when appropriate for that service.

Step 5: Apply the Changes

Click Apply, then click OK. If the option is available, you can also click Start to run the service.

Step 6: Restart Your Computer

Restart your Windows computer after making the changes. This allows Windows to reload the service and apply the new settings.

Step 7: Check If the Error Is Fixed

Open the program or Windows feature that was showing ERROR_SERVICE_DISABLED. If the required service is working correctly, the error may no longer appear.

If the Error Still Appears

If the problem continues, check whether another service is required for the affected service to work. You can also run SFC /scannow from an Administrator Command Prompt to check for damaged Windows system files.

Important: Avoid changing or enabling random Windows services. Only modify the service related to the problem and follow
